Kristina Lagana, PT, DPT Has Joined Our Team!

KristinaKristina grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 2006, with a degree in Kinesiology. She received her Masters from UCSF/SFSU in 2008 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UCSF/SFSU in 2009. Kristina has advanced training in manual therapy techniques, Kinesiotape application, and sports medicine.

Introducing Our Newest Team Member!

Dr. Chau pic cropped 12-17Dr. Richard Chau, D.C., is a California board-certified chiropractor. He has specialized training in exercise rehabilitation, musculoskeletal kinesiotaping, functional rehabilitation and sport injury care.  Dr. Chau attended the University of Miami for his undergraduate studies and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in 1990. Dr. Chau is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) since 2002.  He is certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations and Restoration. He is also certified as an Ergonomic Assessment Specialists, having performed consultative work with some of the largest industrial and hi-tech companies in the South Bay. Dr. Chau is fluent in both Chinese and Spanish. He will be treating patients in our San Jose clinic.

Uta Maeda-1Dr. Maeda is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the management of chronic pain conditions. She earned her BS in Brain & Cognitive Sciences and Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern California, where she pursued specialized training in health psychology and geropsychology. She completed her clinical internship at the Portland VA Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship in pain psychology at the Stanford Pain Management Center. She has extensive experience helping patients build effective coping tools to take back control over their mind and body so that they can live a meaningful life that is not defined by pain
