Proudly Announcing RehabOne Medical Group’s Newest Team Member!

Dr. Grubinskas comes to RehabOne with over 15 years of experience as a chiropractor specializing in rehabilitation services. Dr. Grubinskas has been trained in the renowned Matheson FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) Program and will now be delivering this service at RehabOne! When to consider ordering an FCE for your patient or client? An FCE is most appropriately ordered when your patient/client is on modified duty and have not responded to conservative therapies. Through the FCE evaluation process, Dr. Grubinskas observes your patient/client in real time work simulated activities, over a period of time to determine their work capabilities. An FCE is beneficial for all involved, providing documentation to assist decision makers in the next steps of treatment and employment.

Acupuncture for Pain Patients?

acupuncturistAcupuncture can be used for a variety of conditions. It is most commonly used for pain management. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into various points throughout the body. This creates a regulatory response to our central nervous system. It also releases pain blocking chemicals and increases blood flow locally to produce healing. Many patients leave the office visit feeling quite relaxed and optimistic. The treatment is generally well tolerated, low risk and can provide a means of managing pain without stronger medications.

A foam roller is simply a cylindrical piece of extruded hard-celled foam. They usually come in one-foot or three-foot lengths. One of the variations is the half roll. They are flat on one side and are often used by beginners. For densities, they could either be low density rollers or high density rollers. High density rollers are more durable and are a good choice for people who are not severely deconditioned and not in acute pain.
