Dr. Maeda is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the management of chronic pain conditions. She earned her BS in Brain & Cognitive Sciences and Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern California, where she pursued specialized training in health psychology and geropsychology. She completed her clinical internship at the Portland VA Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship in pain psychology at the Stanford Pain Management Center. She has extensive experience helping patients build effective coping tools to take back control over their mind and body so that they can live a meaningful life that is not defined by pain
