About Brent

Brent Dauphin, LAc, MTCM, received his Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University where he completed over 3,200 hours of comprehensive clinical and theoretical training. During his third year at Five Branches, Brent traveled to Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. There he studied acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the major hospitals of the area. Brent also holds an undergraduate degree in psychology with neurology emphasis from the University of California at San Diego.

Brent specializes in pain management and holds advanced acupuncture certification in sports medicine & orthopedics. Brent also has obtained certification and advanced training in Tuina (a form of Chinese massage used in conjunction with acupuncture for treating pain). Brent also specializes in the use of Motor Point Acupuncture, which is sometimes referred to as dry needling. Motor Point Acupuncture uses specific acupuncture locations within muscles to help normalize the muscle inhibition that occurs with an injury. Results are often seen beginning with the first treatment allowing for improved range of motion, function, and strength of the injured area.
